Barakaldo (9 de junio, Edaska); Liérganes (10, Los Picos); Gijón (11, Acapulco); Miranda de Ebro (12, Fabrica de Tornillos); Aranda de Duero (13, Sol)

"We want to say a little more than "yeah", "baby" and "come on"

The Soundtrack Of Our Lives.

I think it’s very natural for kids in Sweden to learn to play an instrument when you’re like 10 years old. Then we get fed with all the American and English music all the time so we want to be like our heroes on the TV and radio. Also people in Sweden learn English the same way, by watching American films and TV-shows.

Que quiénes son vuestros artistar preferidos.
Oh, there’s to much too mention, but a few of them always pops up, like Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Byrds, Love... really classic 60’s rock and pop. Of the more modern music I would say bands like Silverbullit, TSOOL and Mazarine Street. All those are Swedish bands.

I would say Wired For Mono is grounded in classic rock from the 60’s but with a contemporary touch. We don’t try to be a retro band. We’re vintage but with a contemporary sound! But basically, it’s just rock and roll.

We’re professional musicians but we do have other things that we do. These days it’s very hard to survive as a musician just playing music since noone is buying records anymore. Please buy our records!

I think it’s a very good album, much more together than our first album. There’s quite a few different styles of music going on In the songs. Very good production I think. If we have the opportunity to scream into a microphone in front of people, we want to say a little more than "yeah", "baby" and "come on". The lyrics for this album are really a lot about where we were as a band and as individuals at the moment. some lyrics are very personal. States of Exile as a title really captures what the lyrics are about on this album.

We got in touch with GP a couple of years ago when they were organizing a tour for us and we talked about maybe them releasing the album. Since we lika to work with them it came natural. We’re happy with GP. And, of course, the vinyl release which Is very cool. I think people have to start buying records again, it’s much more fun with a vinyl record than an mp3. And it sounds better!

Come to the shows and you’ll see! Our shows are always very electric, high energy rock and roll shows. But this time we’re gonna try some different things, so don’t miss Wired For Mono on the road in Spain!
